Yard Supervisor

Ennis Steel is hiring a Yard Supervisor to lead our yard operations team This hands-on role oversees daily yard activities — managing inventory, coordinating shipping and receiving, and ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and support the yard crew to keep operations running smoothly

  • Oversee loading, unloading, and storage of steel and fabricated materials

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments

  • Maintain accurate inventory and Excel-based reports

  • Train employees on safety and equipment use

  • Keep the yard organized, clean, and compliant

  • 3+ years of experience in yard, warehouse, or logistics (supervisory experience preferred)

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Excel for tracking and reporting

  • Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and yard equipment

  • Safety-focused, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
