Assistant Store Manager (Full-Time)
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Store Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the store and reports to the Director of Operations. Responsibilities in this roles include:
- The Assistant Store Manager is the direct line of communication with the Store Manager, upper management on the Corporate level, and ensuring that the vision and directive from above are being implemented at the local level.
- Support in creating, implementing, and following established standard operating procedures and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate daily staffing and staffing schedules
- In charge of employee disciplinary tracking/write-ups.
- Tracks and reviews employee errors, infractions, and attendance
- Work with HR department to ensure that any employee disciplinary actions and terminations are being effectively completed in a timely manner.
- Reviewing new candidate applications, and conducting interviews for hiring.
- Supervise and monitor the timely completion of performance reviews.
- Collaborate with the Training Manager to create and conduct training opportunities for staff members to enhance their knowledge and skills on various products.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of all the products carried in the store, and stay updated on the newest product developments in the market.
- Work alongside the Director of Marketing in efforts to collaborate with local community members.
- Coordinates with the Marketing and Sales team for the the implementation of promotions and sales details.
- Oversee all procedures related to the handling and reporting of cash
- Oversee product inventory management and daily auditing activities.
- Make sure that all obligations and rules related to compliance and regulations are being followed.
- Manage and maintain store documents required by the state (Manifests, Invoices, Destruction logs, etc.)
- Main point of contact for the store's mandated state inspections
LOCATION
Wicker Park, Illinois
QUALIFICATIONS
- Management experience required; preferably in a retail environment
- Experience and general familiarity with cannabis highly desirable
- Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills
- Continuous and consistent communication across all levels
- Experience with interviewing, hiring and evaluating candidates, and assessing employee performance
- Experience working in a high-volume environment is a plus
- Experience in any highly-regulated industry is a plus
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must be +21
- Ability to be fingerprinted and pass the State's required background check for cannabis agents
