Aerospace Operations – Delivery Assurance

We are a leading provider of contract supply chain services to major OEM's within the Aerospace and Defense industries.

Working primarily with our clients' suppliers, our independently contracted specialists make sure parts, assemblies, and tooling are delivered on time.

In addition to supplier follow-up and project management, we conduct supplier audits, rate readiness reviews, supplier transitions, cost price analysis, and other procurement related activities.

We're seeking a Project Manager to work with our clients' suppliers, their customer program offices, their engineering, and their supply chain organizations on an as-needed basis. The Project Manager will be responsible for implementing changes and managing suppliers to get parts and assemblies delivered on time.

You must be able to work independently through various organizations and individuals to manage projects. This will require:

  • Traveling to facilities in and around Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
  • Working with suppliers to gain understanding of their processes.
  • Coordinating with multiple departments at both our clients and their suppliers -- including Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and Operations.
  • Diligently following up on schedules and solving lags or other problems.
  • Documenting milestones to complete projects and managing to those milestones.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 10 plus years in Operations, Program Management, Project Management, and/or Procurement.
  • Management or Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Experience with machining, electronics, metal processing/finishing, tooling fabrication, and/or assembly.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with project management software and its usage.
  • His or her own laptop and smartphone.
  • Experience in the Aerospace or Defense industries is required.

We pay a competitive hourly rate, and we reimburse for project related expenses including local mileage.
