Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned CNC Machine Shop Manager to oversee our new machining operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC machining, a proven track record in shop management, and the ability to lead a team to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

· Leadership & Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of CNC machinists and operators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

· Operational Oversight: Manage daily shop activities, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to production schedules, and optimal machine utilization.

· Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure all parts meet stringent specifications and standards.

· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains through lean manufacturing principles.

· Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of CNC machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.

· Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

· Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

· Minimum of 7 years of experience in CNC machining, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

· Proficient in CNC programming and operation, with hands-on experience in setting up and running CNC machines.

· Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) and G-code programming.

· Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems is a plus.

· Strong communication and organizational skills.
