Position Overview:
The Senior Patent Paralegal will support a busy intellectual property practice with a strong emphasis on international patent prosecution. This role is ideal for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can independently manage global patent portfolios and serve as a trusted resource to attorneys and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, file, and manage U.S. and international patent applications, including PCT and national phase filings
- Coordinate directly with foreign associates and international counsel across multiple jurisdictions
- Manage the patent prosecution lifecycle from filing through issuance and maintenance
- Track and maintain critical deadlines using patent docketing systems
- Mentor junior paralegals and contribute to process improvements within the IP team
Requirements:
- 5–7+ years of patent prosecution experience, with senior-level responsibilities
- Hands-on experience with international patent filings, including PCT and foreign national stage matters
- Strong working knowledge of USPTO and international patent office procedures
- Experience using patent docketing systems (CPI, Anaqua, FoundationIP, PATTSY, or similar)
- Paralegal certificate or degree in Legal Studies preferred
