Director of Portfolio Solutions

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and growth-minded Director of Portfolio Solutions to join our leadership team. This individual will be a key driver of organic and inorganic AUM growth, provide investment leadership, and serve as a strategic resource for both client acquisition and retention.
You will collaborate closely with the Investment Department and Consulting Teams to enhance investment capabilities across the firm and directly support high-value client engagements. Reporting to the CIO, this individual will also lead the development of client-facing collateral and advisor training programs that reflect Centura�s investment philosophy.
Primary Responsibilities:
Growth & Business Development
- Drive strategic initiatives to increase both organic and inorganic AUM across the firm.
- Lead the development and presentation of investment proposals for new business opportunities and prospective clients.
- Partner with the Business Development and Consulting Teams to convert high-potential leads into long-term client relationships.
Portfolio Leadership & Client Strategy
- Analyze existing and prospective client portfolios to identify opportunities, gaps, or misalignments with objectives.
- Recommend tailored investment strategies aligned with Centura�s philosophy and client goals.
- Oversee proposal implementation and portfolio transition, ensuring alignment with investment objectives and firm standards.
Team Building & Advisor Development
- Serve as a player-coach to drive AUM growth through hiring, training, and mentoring Investment Advisors.
- Lead onboarding and portfolio migration for externally recruited advisors and their client base.
- Develop scalable systems and processes to enhance delivery and consistency across teams.
Content Creation & Thought Leadership
- Partner with the CIO to produce investment training resources and client-facing collateral.
- Deliver educational presentations and act as an internal subject matter expert on investment positioning.
- Stay ahead of industry developments�regulatory, tax, legal, or economic�and implement new strategies that benefit clients and the firm.
Operational Excellence
- Manage and track all opportunities in the CRM; proactively identify suitable investment solutions for current and potential clients.
- Collaborate with technology, compliance, and trading teams to enhance delivery and execution of investment strategies.
- Champion internal process improvements to support continued growth and scalability.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills required
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills required
- Proficient in building sales/business plan and executing strategy to achieve planned results
- Proficient with the following software programs
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, etc.) � Required
- Orion - Highly Preferred
- Salesforce � Preferred
- Brokerage Trading and Account Interfaces (EX: Schwab Advisor Center, Fusion, etc.)
- Market Databases and Analytics (EX: Hidden Levers, Right Capital, Ycharts, Pitchbook) etc.
- Well-versed in alternatives � Private Credit, Private Equity, Real Estate
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven track record of hitting sales quotas and achieving growth to gather AUM
- Strong knowledge regarding traditional and alternative investments.
- Ability to create and present client deliverables.
- Existing relationships with CPAs, Estate Attorneys, Tax Attorneys, and other professionals that serve High-Net-Worth and Ultra-High-Net-Worth clients.
- Able to design and enhance existing processes to support scaling and growth.
- An undergraduate degree is required, preferably in finance, economics, or business administration.
- 7+ years of financial services sales experience as an advisor or in a business development function, required.
- CFA, CAIA, CFP�, CIMA, or MBA preferred, or the willingness to obtain one of the aforementioned certifications
