The Journeyman/Journeywoman Plumber will work under the direct supervision of a Master Plumber with over 40 years of experience, gaining guidance, mentorship, and oversight to ensure compliance with best practices, codes, and safety standards.

Duties

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to execute projects accurately.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed for custom pipe fitting or repairs.
  • Conduct remodeling and renovation work involving plumbing components.
  • Assist with HVAC system components related to plumbing and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing fixtures and systems to ensure optimal operation.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure projects meet specifications and safety regulations.
  • Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on job sites.
  • Utilize carpentry skills for framing or supporting plumbing installations when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety protocols during field service operations.

Skills

  • Proven experience in construction plumbing, with a strong background in pipe threading, schematic reading, and blueprint interpretation.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, schematics, and general maintenance procedures.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on construction sites or during remodeling projects.
  • Skilled in using construction site experience to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively.
  • Knowledge of carpentry, maintenance person tasks, remodeling processes, and general maintenance work.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations involved in pipe fitting or layout work.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (preferred) for field service operations involving transportation of materials or equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring technical expertise in plumbing systems while contributing to high-quality construction and maintenance services across various settings.

Pay: $ $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 per week
