Duties

  • Greet customers warmly, identify their needs, and recommend suitable products to enhance their shopping experience
  • Demonstrate product features through engaging demos, highlighting benefits to encourage upselling opportunities
  • Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
  • Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to maximize sales potential
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and participating in regular stock replenishment
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
  • Support the store's overall operations by supervising team members when needed and ensuring adherence to store policies

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
  • Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued to connect with diverse customers
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math ensures smooth transactions
  • Experience in supervising or leading a team demonstrates leadership potential and responsibility
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and standing for extended periods
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for creating positive interactions
  • Basic math skills are necessary for accurate cash handling and sales calculations
