Clear Exterior Cleaning is hiring a full-time Assistant Technician to work alongside our lead on window cleaning, pressure washing, and exterior maintenance projects. If you're attentive, learn fast, and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty, this role is built to launch you into Lead Technician running jobs solo.

What You'll Do

  • Set up residential job sites: place cones as needed, protect landscaping and fixtures (pre-wet plants, cover outlets/doorbells), manage pets/gates, run hoses, set ladders, and stage RO/DI water-fed pole gear.
  • Assist with cleaning services: driveway/sidewalk concrete cleaning, soft washing homes (stucco, siding, trim), roof cleaning (algae/moss treatment), solar panel cleaning with purified water, and exterior window/screen touch-ups.
  • Perform basic, on-the-fly maintenance: swap O-rings/nozzles, tighten fittings, replace hose clamps, apply PTFE/thread tape, check and top off engine oil/fuel, and flush RO/DI filters as needed.
  • Operate/position equipment: pressure washer, surface cleaner, soft-wash system, RO/DI carts, extension ladders with standoffs; follow ladder-safety basics and use tie-offs/stabilization where appropriate.
  • Detail cleanup: neutralize/rinse plants after soft wash, squeegee/brush residual drips, wipe frames/sills/screens, blow/rinse walkways, replace moved items, and leave "slippery when wet" signage as needed.
  • Document & communicate: capture before/after photos, note pre-existing conditions, follow chemical-handling and ladder-safety SOPs, and do a customer walkthrough for sign-off.

  • Can lift 50–75 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Growth Path

  • Days 1–30: Shadow lead tech, master setup/teardown, water-fed pole basics, chemical & site safety.
  • Days 31–60: Handle sections independently; perform routine field maintenance; assist with quoting photos.
  • Days 61–90: Run small jobs under supervision; prep to certify as Lead Technician and take solo routes.

Pay & Schedule

  • Hourly: $16–$22/hr DOE + performance bonuses; OT eligible.
  • Extras: Tips, bonus opportunities, occasional commission on upsells/leads.
  • Schedule: Full-time/part, day shift (some evenings/weekends for commercial work).
  • Location: Calabasas & surrounding areas (must reliably commute).

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record preferred.
  • Able to pass a background check.
  • Familiarity with small engines (Honda-style pressure washers/generators) and basic tool use.
  • Working knowledge of ladder safety; comfortable with PPE and following OSHA/ANSI best practices.
  • Professional appearance and customer-friendly attitude.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with pressure washing, window cleaning, or facilities maintenance.
  • Lift certification or willingness to get certified (we'll help).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
