Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Equipment Operator to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and construction equipment to support large-scale projects. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and precise operation of equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, excavators, and other specialized machinery. Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other machinery to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material handling tasks.
  • Safely manage construction site activities by adhering to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment before and after use to identify maintenance needs or potential safety issues.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors and team members to execute project plans efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance records, and operational reports.
  • Support the transportation of materials using trucks such as dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, front loader trucks, or tanker trucks as needed.
  • Follow all safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and construction site protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure minimal downtime during operations.

Skills

  • Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders (including front loaders), backhoes, excavators, and similar machinery.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance checks on equipment like Komatsu machines or other brands.
  • Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Knowledge of construction materials handling and earthmoving techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors effectively.
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
