Variable Part-Time Position

QualDerm Partners is looking for a Variable Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our team in Orland Park, IL. We are dedicated to being the nation's premier source for comprehensive skin and aesthetics wellness. Our mission is to support patients' lifetime wellness journeys with unmatched care across dermatology, skin cancer treatment, cosmetics, and plastic surgery.

This position requires flexibility in hours and involves working in a collaborative environment focused on high standards of patient care. As a Medical Assistant, you will be crucial in providing top-notch service to our patients, contributing to their overall wellness experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting their medical histories.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and instruments are on hand.
  • Conduct basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Maintain patient records with accuracy and uphold confidentiality.
  • Manage patient appointments and coordinate communications within the office.
  • Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and effective skincare practices.
  • Ensure examination rooms remain clean, organized, and fully stocked with medical supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Medical Assistant or a related role in a clinical environment.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and practices relevant to dermatology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with patients and team members.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information discreetly while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attentive to detail in a fast-paced setting.
  • Basic proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software applications.
