Duties
- Perform a wide range of aesthetic treatments including dermabrasion, dermal fillers, Botox (botulinum toxin treatment), eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair threading, hair styling, makeup application, and esthetic laser treatments.
- Conduct skin analysis and develop customized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
- Manage client consultations to educate on skincare routines, product recommendations, and treatment options.
- Operate salon software such as Millennium and MINDBODY to schedule appointments, update client records, and process payments efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene by adhering to strict sanitation protocols and OSHA guidelines.
- Assist with retail sales by demonstrating products during demos, upselling skincare solutions, and educating clients on product benefits.
- Manage social media accounts to promote services, share client success stories, and engage with the community to grow the practice's online presence.
- Provide excellent guest services by creating a welcoming atmosphere, addressing client inquiries promptly, and ensuring a memorable experience from check-in to check-out.
- Support front desk operations including appointment scheduling, answering phone calls, and managing client flow smoothly.
- Stay current with industry trends such as hair extensions, tattooing techniques, color theory for makeup artistry, nail care procedures, and advanced body treatments.
- Collaborate with team members on product demos and promotional events to boost sales and enhance client engagement.
- Uphold all safety standards related to sanitation practices for laser devices, dermabrasion tools, and other equipment used during treatments.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or esthetician license in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven experience in medical spa or med spa settings with expertise in Botox (botulinum toxin), dermal fillers, laser treatments, dermabrasion, body waxing, eyelash extensions, hair extensions, hair styling, nail care, makeup application, tattooing techniques or barbering is highly preferred.
- Strong management skills to handle scheduling software such as Millennium or MINDBODY efficiently.
- Familiarity with salon management systems like Millennium or salon software for booking and record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a friendly demeanor that ensures positive guest interactions.
- Ability to perform detailed skin analysis using professional tools; knowledge of color theory beneficial for makeup artistry.
- Experience in retail sales strategies including upselling products during demos or consultations.
- Knowledge of social media management platforms for marketing purposes.
- Commitment to maintaining sanitation standards at all times; understanding of OSHA guidelines related to aesthetic procedures.
