Job DescriptionAECOM Technical Services, Inc., is seeking a Civil Engineering III in Dallas, TX.
Job responsibilities:
- Gathers and correlates engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
- Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and tests
- Proposes approaches to solve new problems by modifying standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments
- Identifies discrepancies in results
- Provides guidance to entry-level engineers
- Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision
- Independently completes all tasks necessary for primary design elements of engineering projects
- May telecommute
Candidates must have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
- Professional Engineering (PE) License or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment in position.
- Design software including MicroStation, GEOPAK, AutoTURN, and OpenRoads.
- Developing 3D models, templates, and surfaces.
- Transportation projects, including Schematic Development, Preparation of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates, and Design-Build Projects.
- TxDOT projects experience.
- Developing Roadway geometric layouts and details.
- Design Standards and Design Manuals including TxDOT Roadway Design Manual, MUTCD, AASHTO Green Book, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, and Highway Safety Manual.
- Preparation of design packages including the development of quantities and cost estimates.
- Technical quality review records, including checking and verifying discipline and inter-discipline review
- Document and records control
- ProjectWise
