Job Title: Fire Extinguisher Assembly & Refill Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a Fire Extinguisher Assembly & Refill Technician to join our fire extinguisher shop team. This position focuses exclusively on the assembly, servicing, refilling, and testing of fire extinguishers in a controlled shop environment. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

● Assemble new fire extinguishers according to manufacturer specifications.

● Disassemble, inspect, clean, and refill used fire extinguishers.

● Perform annual and 6-year fire extinguisher inspections and recharges.

● Test extinguishers to ensure correct pressure, weight, and functionality.

● Replace parts, components, and labels as needed.

● Maintain accurate service and inspection records.

● Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.

● Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.

● Attention to detail with commitment to quality workmanship.

● Ability to follow written procedures and safety protocols.

● Good organizational and time management skills.

● Dependable, reliable, and able to work independently or in a team.

Requirements:

● High school diploma or equivalent.

● 1–2 years of mechanical, technical, or equipment service experience preferred.

● Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

● Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

● Ability to stand, bend, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.

Working Conditions:

● Shop environment with variable temperatures and occasional dust.

● Frequent standing and use of hand tools.
