Job Summary

As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. You will support physicians and healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth operations within our facility.

What you'll do

  • Assist with patient intake, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs to ensure comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Perform tests including, but not limited to EKGs, injections, rapid strep, influenza, and protime.
  • Communicate with patients about test results and plan of care, including prescription renewals and inquiries.
  • Prepare examination rooms and equipment for treatment of patients by sterilizing instruments and stocking exam rooms.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient information accurately and efficiently.
  • Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and referrals.
  • Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to enhance communication with patients and staff.
  • Support administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and coding using ICD standards.

Basic qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
  • Must have active BLS and Medication Aide certification.
  • Proficiency in medical administrative support tasks and familiarity with EHR systems is essential.
  • Must be able to think and work independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $ $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 42 per week
