NOW HIRING: Corporate MDS Nurse

Position Overview:

The Corporate MDS Nurse will oversee and support the MDS processes for multiple skilled nursing facilities within our network. This position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure accurate documentation, compliance with regulations, and continuous quality improvement efforts. As a key member of the clinical team, the Corporate MDS Nurse will also help train and guide staff to enhance the MDS process and improve patient care outcomes.

Corporate MDS Nurse Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct MDS assessments in accordance with federal and state regulations, facility policies, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure accurate, timely, and complete MDS submissions for residents across multiple facilities.
  • Review patient data and clinical records to ensure compliance with care plans and quality indicators.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to facility-based MDS coordinators and nursing staff.
  • Monitor MDS-related data and assist with audits to ensure adherence to documentation standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure care plans and assessments reflect the unique needs of each resident, enhancing their quality of life and care.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives by using MDS data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date on MDS-related regulations and changes in CMS guidelines.

Corporate MDS Nurse Qualifications:

  • Current, valid RN license in the state of Ohio.
  • Experience in MDS coordination in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment.
  • Experience with MDS 3.0, care planning, and assessments.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state regulations related to MDS, including CMS guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing leadership and support across multiple locations.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
