  • Title: *Medical Practice Patient Representative (Clerical Assistant) -NHMP Float Team Region C (Norwalk): - Float Differential $ Included - 8 hour shifts between 8:00am - 5:00pm.

  • Must have reliable transportation - Float Pool employees provide coverage to medical offices that are in need of coverage. Great way to network, develop your skills and work in various medical departments - Primary Care, Specialty & Surgical Offices, etc.*
  • Region C: Will cover medical offices/departments in the following towns: Wilton, Norwalk, New Canaan, Darien & Westport.*
  • Summary:* Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for physician practice.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.
  • Performs reception of customers and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
  • Answers phones, routes calls, take messages, conveys information, and assures accurate communication.
  • Registers, verifies and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
  • Reschedules cancelled, no show, tickler appointments.
  • Processes record requests, including the copying, billing, charging and recording.
  • Collects co-pays and reconciles moneys for deposit.
  • Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
  • Completes audits as assigned.
  • Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation and correspondence via eFax.
  • Presents a professional appearance and image.
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  • Maintains and Model Nuvance Health Values.
  • Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Other Information

  • Education Required: *High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 1 year customer related experience required
  • Preferred: 1+ years of healthcare experience

PRN Rate: $25.58
