Accounting Specialist/ Bookkeeper

Job Summary:
The Accounting Specialist / Bookkeeper is responsible for performing full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance. This role ensures accurate financial records, supports month-end and year-end close processes, and assists with financial reporting in compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This position offers 1 day of remote work each week.

Responsibilities:- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll support
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare financial statements and internal financial reports as needed
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting support
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation
- Support external audits, tax preparation, and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and improve accounting processes
