The Crisis Center is looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented Part-Time Therapist to join our Residential Programs team. Our programs offer trauma-informed care and comprehensive support to children requiring both emergency and long-term residential services.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop thoughtful, goal-oriented treatment plans that positively impact the lives of youth.
  • Participate in clinical assessments, behavior planning, and discharge preparation.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality by adhering to all legal, ethical, and agency standards.
  • Collaborate closely with caseworkers, guardians, and other professionals to ensure high-quality care, including attending court hearings and off-site meetings as needed.
  • Stay engaged and informed through team meetings, psychiatric consultations, and required trainings such as CPR, CPI, and other certifications.
  • Communicate with empathy, professionalism, and sound clinical judgment, maintaining clear boundaries and building trust with clients.
  • Provide support to clients during critical moments. Exhibit flexibility, including availability for evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts based on program needs.

Clinician Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents (ages 10–20) using trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches.
  • Ensure all clinical documentation is accurate and submitted on time, including progress notes, psychosocial assessments, behavior and safety plans, monthly reports, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
  • Maintain active professional licensure and meet all continuing education requirements in accordance with state and regulatory standards.

Supervision and Training:

  • The Program Director and/or Residential Manager oversee the department. During each shift, Therapist report directly to the Program Director.

Schedule & Availability:

  • This is a part-time position with variable hours. Our residential programs operate 24/7, and candidates must be available to work day, evening and overnight shifts, including some weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field required.
  • Must hold active Indiana licensure as an LSW, LMHC, or LCSW.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license required, with eligibility to operate agency vehicles and no moving violations within the past five years.
  • Strong commitment to client confidentiality, with a thorough understanding of legal, ethical, and client-centered care standards.
  • Preferred experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed care practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently with strong focus, initiative, and self-motivation.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and prioritizing self-care to ensure sustainable, ethical practice.
