Job Overview:

As the Assistant Manager of our apartment complex, you will work closely with the property manager to oversee all aspects of property management, with a strong emphasis on accountability and legendary customer service. You will assist in managing day-to-day operations, resident relations, leasing activities, and maintenance coordination to ensure the highest level of satisfaction for our residents.

Essential Functions: Include but are not limited to:

  1. Accountability:

  2. Assist the property manager in maintaining accurate records of leasing transactions, rent payments, and maintenance requests.

  3. Ensure compliance with leasing policies, procedures, and regulations, and address any issues promptly and effectively.
  4. Support the property manager in developing and implementing strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.

  5. Legendary Customer Service:

  6. Provide exceptional customer service to residents, prospective tenants, and vendors, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.

  7. Assist in organizing resident events and activities to foster a sense of community and enhance resident satisfaction.
  8. Conduct regular follow-ups with residents to ensure their needs are met and issues are resolved to their satisfaction.

  9. Leasing and Marketing:

  10. Assist with leasing activities, including responding to inquiries, conducting property tours, and processing lease applications.

  11. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants and maintain high occupancy rates.
  12. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor properties, and local demographics to inform leasing and marketing efforts.

  13. Administrative Support:

  14. Assist with administrative tasks such as lease preparation, lease renewals, move-in/move-out procedures, and resident correspondence.

  15. Manage resident files and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  16. Prepare reports and analyze data related to leasing, occupancy, and financial performance to support decision-making.

  17. Team Collaboration:

  18. Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure prompt and efficient resolution of maintenance issues and timely completion of work orders.

  19. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a strong sense of accountability among staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in property management, preferably in multifamily housing.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in property management software (Yardi) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
