Position: Behavioral Health Technician

Location: Cooper City & Pembroke Pines, FL

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

About the Role:

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our clients' recovery journey. You will be based onsite at our residential apartments during non-clinical hours, offering both direct client support and coordination with our clinical and operational teams. This includes providing transportation, ensuring safety, and monitoring client well-being.

Current Scheduling Needs:

All shifts including weekends and overnights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support clients in a residential setting during non-clinical hours.
  • Conduct safety checks and wellness rounds within the client apartments.
  • Provide transportation using a company 14-passenger shuttle (no CDL required).
  • Communicate effectively with clinical and operational staff to address client needs.
  • Document shift notes and medication observations per policy.
  • Assist with daily living activities and support meal supervision as needed.
  • Complete daily and monthly checklists (e.g., hurricane preparedness, fire drills).
  • Uphold professional boundaries, ethics, and confidentiality standards.
  • Respect and support the cultural and lifestyle diversity of clients and team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Reliable, proactive, and attentive to detail.
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptability to changing circumstances and client needs.
  • Valid driver's license (training provided for shuttle and company vehicle use).
  • Must pass a Level II background screening.
  • CPR certification (training provided upon hire).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a JCAHO-accredited facility preferred.
  • Previous experience in a behavioral health or treatment center setting is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Kipu EMR is preferred.
