U.S. Coating Specialists, LLC. is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Roofing Estimator/Salesperson to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Port St. Lucie, Florida, requiring the ability to travel frequently for on-site project assessments across the state.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Assessment

- Conduct thorough on-site evaluations to determine roofing project requirements, including materials, labor, and equipment needs.

- Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to fully understand the scope of work.

Cost Estimation

  • Utilize extensive knowledge of roofing materials, labor costs, and market trends to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes for materials and services.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive cost database for reliable and accurate reference.

Bid Preparation

  • Prepare and submit competitive bids for roofing projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications and deadlines.
  • Work closely with sales and project management teams to align estimated costs with client expectations.
  • Actively collaborate with the Sales team to prepare and submit client bids in a timely manner.

Communication

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
  • Provide clear and detailed explanations of cost estimates to various stakeholders.

Market Analysis

- Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and market conditions to ensure competitive and current estimates.

- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Commercial Roofing Estimator, preferably in the Florida construction market.

- Strong knowledge of roofing materials, construction methods, and industry regulations.

- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.

- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.

- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.

- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in cost calculations.

- Ability to read and understand blueprints and CSI Specifications.

- Ability to travel frequently for on-site project assessments.

Preferred Experience

- Previous experience in roofing sales or a related construction sales industry is preferred.
