Manufacturing Manager

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Responsible for delivering clear and concise communication in a timely manner to technicians and supervisors. Communicates company vision and organizational goals and objectives to continually improve quality, reduce waste, and increase throughput.
• Ensures all safety standards and policies are met. Conducts regular observations for safety compliance and corrects unsafe acts.
• Lead the overall manufacturing development strategy for the areas under ownership for key metrics (safety, quality, delivery, and cost) and actively measure team's performance against these metrics.
• Be the cross functional lead within the facility to pull together resources that are required to achieve delivery goals.
• Evaluate resource needs and hire staff as appropriate.
• Manages employees by establishing performance goals, allocating resources, and assessing performance.
• Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
• Manage, inspire, develop, and motivate employees.

Schedule: The schedule for this position is Friday - Sunday, 5:00am - 5:30pm. Work outside these hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) to coordinate project management and scheduling
• Five years' recent supervisory experience in management of people and projects
• Leadership experience required; formal training strongly preferred
• Knowledge of composite manufacturing processes preferred
• Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to effectively manage stress, including competing work demands and multiple projects at the same time
