Account Representative

Position Summary - This position focuses on maintaining and coordinating membership and financial responsibilities within an association management team office, as well as being a go-to representative for clients. You will be responsible for managing live off-site and virtual events, developing content, budgets, managing volunteers and committees, handling events, and marketing materials. Completing operational tasks including membership database management, QuickBooks entries and reports, other financial and administrative reporting, social media postings, newsletters development, and committee meeting management.

Other projects may include membership communications, member engagement, member recruitment and retention, meeting registration, member events, and dues/registration processing activities. This position will also regularly assist all other departments on an as needed basis to support the programmatic work of the associations we manage.

Successful Candidates requirements:

· Experience with Quick Books or similar accounting software, or willingness to be trained.

· Flexible, upbeat attitude and ability to work on multiple tasks with members and colleagues.

· Excellent organizational skills and project follow-through. Attention to detail is important.

· Ability to express oneself in writing. Strong editing and spelling skills are desired.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to manage administrative duties, financial operations, and database systems preferred.

· Ability and willingness to learn new computer applications with appropriate training.

· Proficiency with social media and standardized Microsoft Office suite including communications through Teams and Outlook.

· Interest in, success with, and/or willingness to learn graphic design - (Canva) is a strong plus.

· Willingness to engage with financial and budget matters as a principal part of the position.

· Pleasant and efficient communication style, and ability to interact in a courteous and professional manner.

Education Requirements: Preferred candidate will have earned a college degree. Majors such as Communications, Finance, Business, English, History, Political Science, and/or Education which employ research, design, creativity, analysis, and critical thinking are preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

Preferred Experience: Previous association, and/or other professional experience in a face-to-face customer-focused two-way communication environment is a plus, such as part time or full-time in communications, government, or project management. Relevant, experience in financial projects or communications programs will be beneficial, these include college-level projects and programs and work done under internships.

Travel Requirements: Must have reliable transportation to/from office, airport, onsite meetings in the US. Ability to schedule internal and external meetings that may require working some evenings and weekends as the project demands. Overnight travel will vary depending on the event schedule and will include some weekends, evenings, and required attendance at Association events that will including multi-day quarterly association events at locations that will require air travel and overnight stays. Overnight Travel Ranges from 10-20 days/year.

Compensation: Salary Range $23.50 to $26.00 per hour with excellent fringe benefits, upbeat positive environment, IRA with employer match, health/dental insurance, PTO, a mostly Monday – Friday work schedule with travel requirements 4-6 times per year.
