Qnity Interconnect Solutions (ICS) is focused on becoming a preferred partner for customers seeking materials-based solutions to enable market leading technologies utilizing a combination of materials to solve complex challenges in a multi-industrial vertical supply chain ecosystem.

The Project Management Leader must possess a hybrid of technical and soft skills. They must understand and utilize the project management methodologies (agile, waterfall and hybrid approaches) and apply those tools as appropriate to the project at hand.

Leveraging Project management best practices this role co-leads and manages strategic projects across lines of business and product portfolios, partnering with the different teams in our business (Business Development, Technical, Commercial, Value Chain Partners, stakeholders, etc., as well as our OEM, and Tier customers) to drive market back product innovation projects to completion. The ideal candidate must be able to manage several projects simultaneously and will require cross-divisional/cross-departmental collaboration, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Work closely with the global and regional business/technical teams and requires the ability to lead/facilitate decision making through stakeholder alignment as well as evaluation and driving growth opportunities through our pipeline providing key inputs to the innovative project development and market launch initiatives.

The role is regional in scope; however, requires a global mindset and involves domestic travel in United States up to 40%.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Responsible for leading and managing projects across multiple lines of business for the NAFTA portfolio
  • Provide Project Management oversight for all phases of projects from Seeding to Commercialization with focus on Customer First, Flawless Project Execution and Judicious Budget Control
  • Determine and define Project scope, goals, deliverables and tasks to ensure team is meeting customer project timelines
  • Allocate and manage resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the project with attention to budgetary limitations.
  • Plan, create, and maintain all critical path scheduling to ensure deadlines and project deliverables are met.
  • Drive Portfolio Prioritization: Lead the evaluation and ranking of projects based on strategic alignment, resource availability, and business impact to ensure optimal allocation of resources
  • Portfolio Performance Oversight: Monitor and report on portfolio health, including risk, budget, and timeline adherence, to enable data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with engineers, business development, and key team members to ensure that project specifications are met.
  • Keep all stakeholders aware of the progress of projects and prepare detailed progress reports regularly.
  • Lead Feasibility Commitments, Milestone Plans, Capacity checks, while supporting industrial (e.g. Automotive) audits
  • Lead Project Reflections, Escalations, and Gaps to be improved, and continually improve and enhance towards future projects
  • Interface between external customers and Qnity ICS organization, while internally communicating and aligning Horizontally and Vertically

Location:
United States – Preferable Central / Mid-West / East Coast (Remote within US; however, ability to travel to customers & to internal factories for trials)

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science or Related field plus experience working in technically-oriented businesses
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in an industrial industry, with at least 3 years at a Tier 2 / Converter / Fabricator
  • Experience in leading, driving and executing within a Global Matrixed Organization
  • Proven experience of successfully completing ground-up commercial projects ranging om $10MM+
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/communicate to different types of cultures, regions, professional levels)
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication skills written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal, as well as negotiation skills
  • Ability to work on cross BU environments (One Qnity Mindset)
  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward challenging situations and having structured working ethics
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, with a emphasis in Excel, Microsoft Project & Planner.
  • Familiarized with APQP, PPAP and FMEA is a plus
  • Intellectual curiosity coupled with a strong drive towards execution
  • Self-starter and comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Ability to work with and gain alignment across a wide range of functions, departments and cultures in many levels of the organization
  • Prospecting Skills and Professionalism

Required

  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time
  • Highly Qualified Candidates in the US with proximity to international airports will be considered
  • Experience in material producing, global matrix organization focused on industrial industries

DESIRED

  • MBA degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in Adhesive Tapes, Converting and Laminates is beneficial including Benchmarking, Product & Process design and application knowledge
  • Experience working with international teams and customers a plus
  • Experience in the Electrification Ecosystem (Batteries, Infrastructure, Charging Stations, etc.)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Early-stage innovation experience
