Oracle Fusion Administration
- System Configuration & Management:
- Administer and configure Oracle Fusion Cloud applications using best account practice, including modules for Financials, Transactional Subledger modules, Procurement, Projects, Travel and Expense, and Supply Chain.
- Maintain and monitor effectiveness of data integrations between Oracle and other sources
- Ensure system settings and configurations meet business requirements and align with SOX, ISO, and other compliance standards.
- Perform regular system health checks, test and apply patches, and conduct proactive maintenance to ensure system stability and performance.
- User Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Oracle Fusion users across the U.S. and LATAM regions.
- Ensure prompt resolution of service requests and incidents while adhering to best practices for change management.
- Work with Oracle support and other resources as required for issue escalation and resolution, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
- System Optimization & Monitoring:
- Continuously monitor Oracle Fusion system performance, identifying areas for improvement or optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate processes, enhance functionality, and integrate third-party systems using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Perform regular audits of system activity and performance to identify potential issues before they affect operations.
- Act as project manager and primary coordinator for rollout of additional modules, integrations, or Oracle facing enhancements as needed for business requirements
Backup & Disaster Recovery Administration
- Backup Technologies Management:
- Oversee the implementation and management of backup solutions for Oracle Fusion applications and supporting systems, using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and other backup technologies.
- Ensure regular automated backups of critical Oracle Fusion data, with secure storage and retention policies that align with SOX and ISO compliance requirements.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity:
- Develop, implement, and test disaster recovery plans for Oracle Fusion systems and backup technologies to ensure business continuity.
- Conduct periodic disaster recovery drills, simulating various failure scenarios to ensure rapid recovery of systems.
- Document and maintain disaster recovery procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and compliance standards.
- Compliance & Security:
- Ensure that backup solutions and disaster recovery plans adhere to internal security policies and external compliance requirements, including SOX, ISO 27001, and other regulatory standards.
- Implement encryption for backups and ensure secure storage and transfer of sensitive data, maintaining compliance with privacy laws and data protection regulations.
- Monitor backup success/failure reports, ensuring data integrity and implementing corrective actions when needed.
Compliance With SOX & ISO Standards
- SOX Compliance:
- Ensure all processes related to Oracle Fusion, backup, and disaster recovery are in line with SOX requirements, including segregation of duties, audit trails, and change management controls.
- Implement and manage controls for financial reporting, data access, and system changes to support SOX audits and compliance.
- Provide documentation and evidence required for SOX audits, supporting internal and external auditors with access to relevant information.
- ISO Compliance:
- Oversee and ensure that Oracle Fusion and backup systems meet ISO 27001 standards for information security management, maintaining continuous monitoring of controls and practices.
- Implement procedures to ensure compliance with ISO standards for data integrity, confidentiality, and availability.
- Conduct regular internal audits and assessments of Oracle Fusion and backup systems to ensure ongoing ISO compliance.
Collaboration & Communication
- Cross-Regional Collaboration:
- Work with IT and business stakeholders in both the U.S. and LATAM regions to understand system needs and ensure Oracle Fusion and backup systems align with business processes.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues, ensure smooth operations, and optimize system performance.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of system configurations, backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and compliance reports.
- Provide regular reports on system performance, backup status, and compliance posture to IT management and key stakeholders.
- Training & User Education:
- Provide as needed training to end users on Oracle Fusion functionalities, backup procedures, and disaster recovery protocols.
- Create educational materials and internal knowledge bases to facilitate self-service support for end users.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience administering Oracle Fusion Cloud applications with an in-depth understanding of modules such as Financials, Projects, Procurement, Travel and Expense, and Supply Chain as well as standard system infrastructure for integrations.
- Proven experience managing backup technologies, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans for cloud-based applications.
- Knowledge and experience with SOX, ISO 27001, and other compliance requirements for cloud-based systems.
- Experience working with multinational teams and managing systems across diverse regions (U.S. and LATAM).
Technical Skills
- Oracle Fusion Cloud: Expertise in the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of Oracle Fusion Cloud applications.
- Backup & Recovery Solutions: Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) backup technologies, Oracle RMAN, Veeam, or other backup tools.
- Compliance Tools: Familiarity with tools and best practices for SOX and ISO compliance in cloud environments.
- Security & Encryption: Understanding of data security protocols, backup encryption, and secure data handling practices.
- Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell) to automate backup processes, data migration, and reporting.
Language Skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) – Spanish and Portuguese proficiency is a plus for LATAM communications.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, particularly in compliance documentation and audit support.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities across time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle Cloud certification (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Fusion Financial).
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Backup, Oracle RMAN, or other enterprise-level backup solutions.
- Previous experience in auditing or compliance functions, particularly in SOX and ISO 27001 environments.
