Overview

We're looking for a high-energy, customer-focused General Manager to lead our Southern Pines location — someone who can build a strong team, ensure operational excellence, and champion our brand values in the local community. The General Manager is the leader of the store and the face of the brand in the community. You'll oversee daily operations, lead and coach team members, ensure an exceptional guest experience, and drive results across sales, service, and quality. You'll wear many hats — from managing staffing and scheduling to ensuring our cobblers are served warm and delicious, every time.

Duties

Operations & Execution

  • Manage day-to-day store operations including product preparation, cleanliness, and equipment upkeep
  • Ensure compliance with The Peach Cobbler Factory of Southern Pines brand standards, food safety, and local health regulations
  • Oversee inventory ordering, waste control, and food cost management using company-approved systems
  • Manage cash handling, POS reconciliation, and daily financial reporting

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new team members in line with The Peach Cobbler Factory of Southern Pines service and quality standards
  • Create weekly schedules that align labor hours with store sales goals
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team culture
  • Lead by example during high-volume hours — whether at the counter or in the prep area

Customer Experience

  • Ensure guests consistently receive warm hospitality and accurate, high-quality orders
  • Actively handle and resolve customer concerns with professionalism and positivity
  • Empower team members to engage with customers and create memorable dessert experiences

Business & Brand Growth

  • Monitor sales, labor %, and product waste; take action to optimize performance
  • Collaborate with marketing and ownership to execute local promotions and events
  • Represent The Peach Cobbler Factory of Southern Pines in the local community with pride and professionalism
  • Ensure compliance with The Peach Cobbler Factory of Southern Pines brand standards, food safety, and local health regulations
  • Oversee inventory ordering, waste control, and food cost management using company-approved systems
  • Manage cash handling, POS reconciliation, and daily financial reporting

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a restaurant, café, bakery, or dessert retail management role (QSR or franchise experience a plus)
  • High school diploma or equivalent. College degree in business and/or management preferred but not required.
  • Strong leadership skills with a hands-on management style
  • Proven ability to manage operations, scheduling, inventory, and financial metrics
  • Passion for hospitality, food quality, and team development
  • ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends

Job Type: Full-time
