POSITION SPECIFICS
The Department of Biobehavioral Health in the College of Health and Human Development is seeking a Human Research Technologist - Health and Medicine. The final candidate will support interdisciplinary research in biomedical engineering and biobehavioral health.
Responsibilities include:
- Process and analyze biodata
- Setup and test new software and hardware for research studies
- Program behavioral experiments using scripting languages
- Assist with the programming of pipelines used for data processing and statistical analysis under supervision of the principal investigator.
- Collect, enter, code, and analyze data; contribute to the design of data plan; present study findings to research teams
- Develop and design project materials including participant forms, questionnaires, reports, surveys, and data collection instruments
- Train research team in data processing functions and appropriate use of software and hardware equipment
- Develop, review, and submit Institutional Review Board (IRB) documents and modifications
- Monitor and manage project logistics including inventory, budget, and equipment
- Serve as liaison with Principal Investigator, physicians, and central research offices
Contributes to manuscripts, journal publications, abstracts, and scholarly articles
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
If filled as Human Research Technologist - Health and Medicine - Intermediate Professional, this position requires:
Associate Degree
2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
Required Certifications:
None
If filled as Human Research Technologist - Health and Medicine - Professional, this position requires:
Associate Degree
No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education.
Required Certifications:
None
Preferred Experience:
Pre-existing literacy with programming (Python and/or MATLAB)

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $38, $61,
