Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises through surveillance systems, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents as they arise. A strong background in conflict management and loss prevention is essential for success in this position.

Schedule

Saturday-Sunday 10 am-6 pm

Duties

  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and calls for assistance, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
  • Utilize CCTV systems to monitor activities in designated areas, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed in emergency situations.
  • Prepare detailed reports on incidents, accidents, or unusual occurrences for management review.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure safety and security measures are upheld.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with surveillance equipment (CCTV) and monitoring systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is an asset; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
  • Excellent observational skills with attention to detail in identifying potential risks or hazards.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
