Overview

We are seeking a skilled Blow Mold Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating blow molding equipment to produce high-quality plastic products, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to quality standards. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment utilizing advanced machinery and fabrication techniques, contributing to the production of precision plastic components.

Duties

  • Set up and operate blow molding machines, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for optimal production runs.
  • Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Handle materials and perform materials handling tasks, including the use of forklifts and hand tools, to facilitate smooth production flow.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery on plastics extrusion equipment.
  • Monitor production processes for defects or inconsistencies, making adjustments to maintain high-quality output.
  • Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste throughout the production cycle.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Experience with plastics blow molding, plastics injection molding, or related manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and utilize hand tools effectively.
  • Strong understanding of materials handling, fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and process calculations.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
  • Warehouse experience or experience in lean manufacturing environments is advantageous.
