Our mission is to be personally committed to solving our partners' most difficult, systematic challenges by reimagining what is possible and realizing more resilient communities together. We believe a culture of caring, purposeful, diverse and courageous humans who want to make a difference for our partners will help us achieve that mission.

While the role is remote, we do require that the successful candidate live within a reasonable driving distance to one of the 7 military bases where we have housing which are as follows: Ft. Rucker, AL, Ft. Riley, KS, Ft. Polk, LA, Ft. Meade, MD, Aberdeen Proving Grounds (APG), MD, Ft. Bragg, NC, and Ft. Sill, OK.

How You'll Contribute to the Team:

The Leasing Consultant is a customer focused sales position and is responsible for facilitating the leasing process, tracking progress from initial contact through lease generation. This remote role is responsible for handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls and requires strong customer engagement, excellent time management, in-depth product knowledge, active listening, and the tenacity to convert leads to residents. The ability to meet key performance indicators for occupancy, while meeting customer housing needs and providing a positive customer experience is at the forefront of this role.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Administer ongoing leasing program efforts to achieve program objectives as defined by organizational goals. Maintain thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications and all community policies.

  • Effectively and accurately convey the benefits of residing in the Corvias community and the services offered, with the goal of generating leases for the portfolio.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Corvias product, market-ready inventory, promotions/leasing incentives, residential market conditions, and competitor communities.
  • Guide prospective residents through the leasing process through virtual communication. Accurately and thoroughly process applications for residency, prepare lease agreements and other occupancy-related documents, and collect prorated rent payments, security deposits and application fees.
  • Audit and review applicant waitlist daily. Manage home assignments per standard operating procedures, minimizing vacancy loss by ensuring ready date and move date are as close as possible.
  • Effectively resolve prospective resident concerns and issues by listening attentively, researching solutions, and offering appropriate actions.
  • Contribute to team goals by adhering to standard operating procedures, call and communication quality standards, meeting or exceeding performance metrics, and achieving occupancy goals, while adhering to fair housing regulations and other relevant laws.
  • Build and maintain collaborative and trusting relationships with leasing and resident on-site team members and prospective residents.
  • Champion the Corvias culture, mission, vision, and values, and maintain the highest standards of business professionalism.
  • Leverage leasing software to streamline communications and facilitate conversion capabilities. Ensure data integrity, including timely input of notes, regular auditing of information, and validation of accuracy in CRM system.
  • Verify completion of all phases of the leasing application process, including coordination of background and credit checks with external vendors to determine qualified residents.
  • Follow leasing processes and track progress through all phases of the leasing process from initial contact through closing and countersigning residential lease agreements.
  • Ensure smooth transition from resident lease signing to move-in inspection with the on-site Community Leasing Associate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Role Specific Requirements Include:

  • 2+ years of prior work experience in sales, marketing, leasing, hospitality or customer service.
  • Active listening skills necessary to remain attune to prospective renters' needs and identify what is driving or hindering progress toward closing residential lease agreements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate information and ideas with clarity and precision through phone, email, and text communication.
  • Ability to take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieve results with little oversight.
  • Must be independent, self-motivated to be productive and efficient, and possess a positive attitude, operating well in a remote team environment that is focused on collaboration and accountability.
  • Detail and process oriented with the ability to adhere to program guidelines and standard operating procedures and workflows to maintain efficiency and operational consistency.
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills with proven ability to engage and make connections with prospective residents from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and customer needs.
  • Demonstrable proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability; willing to seek assistance/guidance when needed.
  • Ability to work in a remote setting and manage multiple and competing priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment, while being attentive to details.
  • Customer-focused with empathy for the customer experience.
  • Computer proficiency, including working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Proficiency utilizing customer relationship management tools to track interactions, manage leads, and follow up effectively.

Competencies:

  • Customer Focus - Prioritizes and takes action on the needs of both internal and external customers. Designs and delivers products and services with the customer experience top of mind.
