Full-Time: 40 Hours/Weekly

Rotating shifts. Pharmacy is open M-F 9am-8pm and Sat/Sun 9am-5pm. Weekend rotation. Holiday rotation.

General Summary

Fills routine orders for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals and performs other related duties.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists pharmacists as directed including filling orders and preparing labels.
  • Assists patient, taking prescription, necessary information, etc. Operates cash register. Delivers medications as needed.
  • Submits and receives orders from suppliers.
  • Enters and/or retrieves data from established computer files using knowledge of various computer software applications.
  • Assists with I.V. preparation and delivery.
  • Position shares responsibility with other team members for daily delivery of patient medications to a Script Center in Mt. Gretna, PA. (Applies only to staff working at Good Samaritan Pharmacy location only; Department

  • Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
  • Logs all drugs delivered to pharmacy.
