Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner opportunity with Specialty Medicine Group in Tampa, Florida. Office based Pulmonary and some Sleep Medicine. Great opportunity for an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner that enjoys more critical and complex patient management. Patient schedule allows time with each patient and differs from the pace of Primary Care. Incredible time off package. Live near the beach for those days off.

About the Pulmonary Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner opportunity

  • Office Medical team has of both MDs and APPs
  • Regular M-F office hours
  • 16-18 patients a day
  • No hospital rounds or consults
  • No weekends or call schedule
  • EMR is eclinical works
  • Pulmonary Function Testing, Sleep apnea monitoring, Chest ultrasound, and EKG in office
  • Acute visits for low Oxygen saturations, asthma exacerbation, sudden cough (20 minutes) and chronic visits for COPD, Pulmonary Hypertension, Emphysema, Lung nodules (40 minutes)
  • Post Hospital follow ups (40 minute appointment)

Requirements of the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Pulmonary opportunity

  • Master's Degree completion
  • National Certification
  • Over 2 years of experience in Emergency Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Cardiology, or Intensive Care Medicine
  • Florida State Medical License in place or in process
  • Confident with EMR and writing notes for each patient visit
  • Strong interest and career experience with more critical patients
  • Leadership interest with Clinical team

  • Salary range is ($92,000-150,000) and depends on experience level and decided by Physician Partners
  • Annual bonus calculated 3 % of collections over designated amount of revenue
  • Health Insurance covered by Practice for employee and starts first of month following start date
  • 401K with 4 % match – starts in first quarter of start date
  • Profit share contribution to Retirement annually on top of designated percentage
