Unarmed Flex/On-Call Security Officers

Clover Phoenix Security and Consulting is hiring Unarmed On-call/Flex Security Officers to support various nightlife, music, and private event venues throughout the Austin area.

This position is on-call/flexible, with schedules that change based on client needs and event bookings. We're seeking officers who are dependable, alert, and capable of maintaining a calm, professional presence in dynamic environments.

Schedule

  • Most shifts fall Thursday through Sunday evenings
  • Hours typically run 6:00 PM to 3:30 AM
  • Flexibility is key – assignments and hours may vary week to week

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct guest screening, including bag checks, wanding, and ID verification
  • Maintain situational awareness and manage crowd flow to ensure safety
  • Communicate clearly with venue management, team members, and guests
  • Document and report any incidents or security concerns
  • Represent Clover Phoenix with professionalism, courtesy, and integrity

Qualifications

  • Active Texas DPS Guard Card (Level 2 required; Level 3–4 accepted)
  • Unarmed position – must display confidence and restraint in all interactions
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites
  • Evening and weekend availability required
  • Strong communication, observation, and conflict resolution skills

Uniform Requirements

  • All-black attire: Black polo or dress shirt, black pants, black belt, and black shoes
