Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Consultant to join our SharpStack team. In this role, you will be tasked with working directly with end customers to understand their business problems and help them implement new tools and capabilities within our SharpStack mobility scheduling platform to solve these problems.A successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively, think creatively, and utilize robust scheduling software to build optimized and automated mobility schedules for customers. Candidates who have prior consulting experience within the transportation industry are preferred, and any experience configuring, implementing, and/or supporting software designed to efficiently optimize on-demand people transportation is a major plus.
Job Description:
Key Role Responsibilities:
The Principal Consultant works directly with clients and colleagues to improve transit operations using SharpStack's products. Some of the responsibilities as part of your role include:
- Mastering the SharpStack scheduling platform and providing subject matter expertise to SharpStack customers globally.
- Analyzing customers' business requirements and objectives to develop configurations and automate scheduling processes to meet their needs.
- Developing and delivering project artifacts such as gap analysis documentation, scheduling evaluations, and functional and technical design documents throughout customer engagements.
- Ensure delivery of services within project scope, budget, and timeline.
- Working with the SharpStack team to report product issues and communicate gaps from customer's perspective, as well as assisting with setting roadmap development priorities.
- Perform testing, training, consulting, or other support for customers.
- Working with SharpStack business partners to identify, evaluate, and drive sales of consulting engagements with end customers.
- Traveling to customer sites in North America, as needed, to deliver consulting services in support of customer engagements.
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field) or 3 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of professional experience in technology consulting, including an understanding of project implementation best practices.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing mobility scheduling solutions to build optimized mobility schedules that meet customer needs.
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
- Knowledge of databases, SQL, and scripting languages.
- Ability to understand and write technical documentation and communicate this information to a non-technical audience.
- Experience presenting to various levels of a customer organization (front line users to executives)
- Ability to estimate work effort to complete consulting engagements and capture said effort and scope within a Statement of Work.
- Experience leading customers through process change within their organization and achieving end user adoption of change is a plus.

Special Conditions:
- The position involves travel primarily within North America and/or Europe (expected up to 50%).
