Grace Pointe, a premier Senior Care Community located at th Avenue in Greeley, CO, has an opening for a Cook. Grace Pointe is currently seeking applications for a Cook. The primary purpose of your job position is to prepare food in accordance with resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and prescribed dietary and sanitary regulations under the supervision of the Dietary Manager/Assistant Dietary Manager to assure that quality food service is provided at all times. The wage range for this position is $17.00-$20.00 per hour, and is based on years of experience as a cook. Weekend availability is required.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and serve food according to menus, recipes, and census, at correct temperatures and in an attractive manner.
  • Use preparation guides and standardized recipes to keep leftovers to a minimum.
  • Supervise diet aids in the absence of the Dietary Manager/Assistant Dietary Manager.
  • Make menu substitutions as necessary, and record on appropriate form.
  • Meet time schedules on all food production and service.
  • Store food properly; cover, label, and date.
  • Maintain sanitation standards.
  • Receive deliveries from vendors as may be assigned.
  • Clean assigned equipment and area per the cleaning schedule.
  • Follow personal health and safety rules.
  • Be able to communicate with staff, residents, and families.
  • Must be 18 years of age to operate kitchen equipment.

Experience:

  • Previous kitchen/culinary/chef experience is preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of kitchen equipment including but not limited to knives, slicer, mixer, stoves, ovens, broiler and fryer desired but not needed.
