We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our professional team. Duties

  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and corporations using advanced tax software.
  • Review financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and supporting schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Analyze financial data to identify potential deductions, credits, and other tax-saving opportunities for clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Assist clients with tax planning strategies and answer inquiries related to their financial situations.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial tools to organize and manage client data efficiently.
  • Support marketing efforts by providing excellent customer service and building strong client relationships.
  • Keep detailed records of all tax-related documents for audit purposes and future reference.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, public accounting practices, and corporate accounting.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and financial software including QuickBooks, Sage, and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent analysis skills for reviewing complex financial data accurately.
  • Knowledge of financial concepts such as bookkeeping, math skills, technical accounting, and 10 key typing proficiency.
  • Experience in financial sales or marketing is a plus for client engagement roles.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Prior experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or related fields is highly desirable. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about finance, accounting, and helping clients optimize their financial health through expert tax preparation services.
