This role follows approved architecture designs and is responsible for turning them into asecure, scalable, and production-ready platform. This individual must beexceptionally strong in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, have deep hands-on Azure experience, and bring asecurity-first mindsetto everything they build.Manager's Note:Experience in working with ArgoCD and GitOps ModelKustomize and Defender for DevOpsKnowledge of TerraformHandling of Azure managed Kubernetes clustersIaaC (experience in writing Yaml files, configuring pipelines in Azure)Troubleshoot production issues by monitoring service Error logs from platform/infra sideThey should understand Azure thoroughly- how to scale up/down services, Applying IAM policies, Setting up Managed API Gateway, Managed Database services in Azure etc. These are very importantGrafana and Prometheus ( Nice to have )Finally having " security first " mindset.Key Responsibilities:Build, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure in alignment with defined architectureDesign and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using TerraformUse Terraform Cloud for remote state management, workspaces, and deployment workflowsOwn and operate CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deploymentsDeploy and manage observability solutions, including Grafana, metrics, logging, alerting, and dashboardsBuild and support microservices-based architecturesDeploy and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes (Azure Kubernetes Service AKS)Monitor platform health and troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics, and alertsScale Azure services up and down to meet performance and availability requirementsImplement and manage Azure IAM / RBAC policies following least-privilege principlesConfigure and operate Azure managed services, including:Managed API GatewayManaged database servicesNetworking and security componentsPartner closely with Software Engineering, Architecture, and Security teamsParticipate in incident response and root cause analysis from a platform perspectiveEnsure platforms are secure by design, not secured after deploymentRequired Skills & Experience (Must Have):Very strong hands-on experience with TerraformHands-on experience with Terraform Cloud , including:Remote state managementWorkspacesWorkflow-driven deploymentsDeep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and best practicesStrong experience building and operating Azure cloud platformsHands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)Strong understanding of microservices architectureExperience with containers and KubernetesProven experience building cloud platforms from the ground upStrong experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelinesExperience implementing observability platforms, including GrafanaStrong troubleshooting skills using logs, metrics, dashboards, and alertsAbility to support and stabilize production environmentsSecurity Expectations (Critical):Strong security-first mindsetExperience implementing least-privilege access, secure configurations, and guardrailsUnderstanding of cloud security fundamentals and secure architecture patternsComfortable working with security reviews, audits, and compliance requirementsAbility to embed security into infrastructure, pipelines, and runtime environmentsNice to Have:DevSecOps tooling experienceExperience integrating Terraform Cloud with CI/CD systemsKnowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, or similar toolsExperience with incident response and on-call rotationsExperience operating in regulated or audited environmentsCloud cost optimization experienceWhat Success Looks Like:A stable, scalable, and secure Azure platformInfrastructure fully managed through Terraform and Terraform CloudReliable CI/CD pipelines with strong observabilityFaster, safer deployments with reduced production issuesStrong collaboration across Engineering, Architecture, and Security teams
