Job Description – Runner / Busser

Location: Dallas, TX

Reports to: Supervisor /Waiter

Job Purpose

The Runner/Busser supports the front-of-house team by ensuring tables are cleared, reset, and prepared quickly and efficiently. This role helps maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining room while assisting servers in delivering food and beverages to guests. The Runner/Busser plays a vital part in creating a seamless guest experience by keeping service areas orderly and supporting overall dining operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist servers by delivering food and beverages promptly to guests' tables.
• Clear tables of used dishes, glassware, and utensils in a timely manner.
• Reset tables with clean linens, silverware, glasses, and condiments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining room, service stations, and walkways.
• Refill water glasses and provide bread or condiments when needed.
• Assist with polishing silverware, folding napkins, and stocking supplies.
• Support the service team during peak hours to maintain smooth guest flow.
• Help carry large trays or heavy items when required.
• Dispose of trash and ensure bussing stations remain neat and fully stocked.
• Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure guest needs are met quickly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of basic food service practices and hygiene standards.
• Ability to lift and carry moderate weights (trays, dishes, supplies).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $13.00 per hour
