WHAT DOES A DINING SPECIALIST (RESTAURANT AND HOSPITALITY SPECIALIST) DO?

As a Restaurant & Hospitality Specialist at Distinctive Living, no two days are alike, making this dynamic role truly exhilarating You will travel to a community in need, where you might step in as the acting Dining Director or cover a frontline team member shift, ensuring that our senior living culinary services run seamlessly. Midday, you'll engage with residents during lunch, coaching servers or actively participating in meal service, modeling excellence in customer service and teamwork.

You will focus on growth—leading training sessions, mentoring new dining staff, and identifying opportunities for enhancing senior living dining quality and efficiency. In the evening, your leadership ensures that the dining experience remains exceptional, whether you're overseeing dinner service or preparing for the next day's assignment. This role is a perfect blend of flexibility, leadership, and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences for our cherished residents

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A DINING SPECIALIST (RESTAURANT AND HOSPITALITY SPECIALIST)

To thrive as a Restaurant & Hospitality Specialist at Distinctive Living, you must possess a unique blend of skills that enhance our senior living dining experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, enabling you to effectively plan, direct, and control operations within the dining department. You'll need to exhibit strong personnel skills to foster positive community relations and ensure team cohesion. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently are critical, as you'll often make decisions in dynamic environments where flexibility is key.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail will ensure that meal service runs smoothly and that all standards are met. Additionally, being pleasant, professional, and personable will allow you to build meaningful relationships with residents and staff alike, ultimately creating memorable dining experiences that embody our commitment to service excellence in senior living culinary.
