As a Security Professional - Retail Patrol in Sumter, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will conduct regular patrols to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will be key in supporting a positive experience. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling designated areas by vehicle. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any security-related incidents or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits as needed.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and interacting with customers and staff in a professional manner.
• Collaborate with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and/or incidents.
• Complete required documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
