The Truffleist

is a gourmet food brand based in NYC, known for handcrafted truffle products that elevate everyday dining — from truffle butter and fondue to truffle salami, sauces, and cheeses. We supply top restaurants, hotels, and caterers across the country with small-batch products made from Italian black summer truffles sourced from Tuscany.

We're growing our Foodservice team and looking for a Sales Representative to expand our restaurant and hospitality partnerships. This role is ideal for someone with a deep appreciation for food, strong sales instincts, and a love of connecting with chefs.

What You'll Do

  • Build and grow a territory of restaurant, catering, and hospitality accounts.
  • Develop new business through tastings, menu consultations, and chef relationships.
  • Present The Truffleist's foodservice line and recommend truffle-inspired menu applications.
  • Negotiate pricing, manage orders, and ensure exceptional service for every account.
  • Partner with internal teams on fulfillment, forecasting, and marketing initiatives.
  • Represent The Truffleist at food shows, events, and chef demonstrations.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of sales experience, ideally in foodservice, distribution, or specialty food.
  • Proven success growing a sales territory and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong Excel skills required — must be confident managing sales data and pricing sheets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Local and state travel required for restaurant visits, tastings, and events.
  • Passion for food, hospitality, and storytelling around premium ingredients.
