Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Position Overview:

We're seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Technician to join our team. In this role, you will install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and light commercial clients. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, a professional demeanor, and a commitment to quality work and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and ductwork
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC systems and components
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and tune-ups
  • Ensure all work complies with local and state building codes and safety regulations
  • Educate clients on system operations, maintenance tips, and energy-saving practices
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and customer interactions
  • Collaborate with plumbing and electrical teams when needed
  • Maintain a clean and professional work environment on every job site
  • Participate in on-call rotation or emergency service (if applicable)

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience as an HVAC technician
  • Valid EPA Section 608 Certification
  • Valid New Mexico driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and components
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
  • Professional, courteous, and customer-service oriented

Preferred:

  • New Mexico Journeyman HVAC or Mechanical License (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience with both residential and light commercial HVAC
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Familiarity with smart thermostats, zoning systems, and energy-efficient solutions
  • OSHA 10/30 certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
