Role Description
Conrad & Scherer is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial litigation and demonstrate excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Prior clerkship experience is a plus.
Position Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney to handle challenging cases and further develop their legal expertise. The successful candidate will oversee litigation processes, craft compelling legal documents, represent clients in court, and contribute to case strategies.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
- Experience in all facets of litigation, including drafting and arguing motions, depositions, discovery, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
- Extensive experience in legal drafting and research, including traditional and electronic discovery.
- Admission to the Florida Bar.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong conceptual thinking and persuasive communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee litigation processes from initial investigation through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to inform case strategies.
- Represent clients in court hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
- Engage in settlement negotiations to secure optimal outcomes.
- Stay updated on evolving laws and precedents in commercial litigation.
- Collaborate with a team of legal professionals to develop creative strategies.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing.
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
- Strong litigation skills, including research, writing, and oral advocacy.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- A stable career history.
