We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Personal Injury Case Manager to join our dedicated legal team. In this vital role, you will oversee the management of personal injury cases from inception through resolution, ensuring efficient case progression and exceptional client service. Your expertise will help streamline legal processes, coordinate with clients and medical providers, and support attorneys in delivering outstanding results. Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of personal injury claims, guiding each case through the entire litigation process with enthusiasm and precision.
- Conduct thorough client interviews to gather detailed case information, ensuring all relevant facts are documented accurately.
- Coordinate with medical providers, insurance companies, and other parties to facilitate timely communication and case development.
- Prepare and review legal documents such as demand letters, settlement agreements, pleadings, and discovery responses with meticulous attention to detail.
- Utilize legal case management systems and document management software to organize case files efficiently and maintain up-to-date records.
- Perform legal research using tools like Westlaw or LexisNexis to support case strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws including personal injury law, workers' compensation law, and other relevant statutes.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, and settlement negotiations by reviewing documents and summarizing key information.
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette while providing compassionate support to clients, answering inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Support administrative functions such as data entry, filing, proofreading legal documents, and managing correspondence to ensure smooth office operations.
- Stay informed about developments in personal injury law and related legal fields such as estate planning, environmental law, tribal law & regulations, family law, securities law, UCC law, patent law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, and litigation practices.
Qualifications
- Proven paralegal or legal administrative experience within a law office environment specializing in personal injury law or related fields.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under pressure.
- Excellent research skills utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar platforms to gather pertinent legal information efficiently.
- Proficiency in legal case management software such as PCLaw or iManage; familiarity with document review systems is a plus.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting clear legal documents including contracts, pleadings, reports, and correspondence.
- Attention to detail for proofreading documents and ensuring consistency across all case materials.
- Effective interviewing techniques to extract comprehensive information from clients and witnesses.
- Knowledge of legal procedures related to personal injury claims as well as broader areas like workers' compensation law or litigation practices is highly desirable.
- Strong clerical skills including data entry, filing systems management, phone etiquette, and document organization.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies such as document management systems and research tools while demonstrating excellent organizational skills.
