Seasonal Bartender

Cocktails At The Mill (CATM) is seeking a detail oriented, friendly and experienced individual to join our team as a floating, seasonal bartender.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and engage with patrons ensuring prompt, friendly and professional service
• Curating & serving hand crafted alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages per standard recipes, CATM cue cards or customer request
• Maintain knowledge of alcohol, beer, cocktails & spirits including alcoholic trends such as seasonal menu offerings and food pairings
• Up-sell alcohol, beer, cocktails and wine to enhance guest experience without overselling
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow safe serving practices, including refusal of service when necessary
• Handle cash, credit card, and POS transactions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including but not limited to: unloading deliveries, (re)stocking supplies, placing supplies in their appropriate settings & reporting shortages to management
• Assist in bar opening and closing procedures.
• Resolve customer complaints and escalate issues when necessary.
• Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth service during busy shifts
• Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.

Requirements:

• MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD
• MUST currently possess active TIPS certification
• MUST have a minimum of three (3) years of bartending experience in a high-volume bar, lounge or restaurant
• MUST have a strong eye for detail and be able to read/write
• MUST be flexible and be able to work at least 10 hours per month
• MUST be able to follow directions: reading is fundamental & we like to have fun. • MUST have strong knowledge of alcohol, beer, cocktails and wine
• MUST have the ability to demonstrate effective communication, multitasking and customer service skills
• MUST be able to stand for extended periods of time
• MUST be able to carry/lift up to 40 pounds
