Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a North Texas Municipal Project Manager for immediate employment in Dallas, Texas.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies. 
  • Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface. 
  • Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors. 
  • Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • US citizens or permanent residents only (no sponsorship available).
  • Texas PE.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ideally 15+ years of experience directly managing municipal infrastructure projects for cities in Texas, with a strong preference for experience specifically within Dallas and Fort Worth.
  • Experience in proposal writing and job scoping.
  • Strong understanding of North Texas City Standards, municipal design guidelines, and TxDOT and DFW area mobility initiatives.
  • Experience presenting project updates and proposals to City Council members, department heads, and community groups.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with diverse project stakeholders, including city staff, elected officials, consultants, and the public.
  • Experience working on municipal roadway projects, including urban and rural road reconstruction/widening, intersection improvements, and active transportation infrastructure.
