PEER Consultants is seeking experienced Civil Engineers and Construction Managers to join our team in a fast paced, dynamic Civil/Environmental Engineering environment. This position will provide construction phase administration, management, and engineering services and field oversite on complex construction projects across all PEER disciplines, with a primary focus on water/wastewater infrastructure, utility, and transportation projects. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively and interact with clients and the public.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

· Provide resident representative or resident engineer services on municipal infrastructure projects including overseeing the daily construction progress on behalf of the owner, maintaining detailed daily records; reviewing contractor activities, test records and results; verification of workforce compliance; and reviewing and verifying contractor(s) applications for payment.

· Review and analyze contractor progress schedules, budgets, and claims

· Perform field and office duties related to Water/Wastewater field investigations including stormwater quality monitoring, IDDE investigations, and existing conditions assessments of MH and pipe systems.

Required Qualifications

·Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil, Geotechnical or Environmental Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of related experience. OR Associates Degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.

·Up-to-date knowledge of computers and current software tools used in engineering, report preparation and results presentation is required.

·Ability to walk job sites, sometimes on uneven terrain, and stand for long periods. Ability to wear safety equipment and to carry equipment weighing up to 10 pounds as needed.

·Valid driver's license and personal smart phone are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

·Experience with Underground pipelines, utilities, water/wastewater pumping station and/or treatment plants.

·Experience with Geotechnical and Geo‐Environmental field investigations

·Registered Professional Engineer or Certified Construction Manager.

·OSHA 10 Hour construction training a plus.
