Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for a
Senior Systems Administrator
on behalf of our client, a nationally recognized leader in industrial and business solutions with a long-standing reputation for excellence and innovation.

This is a
contract-to-hire onsite opportunity in St. Paul, MN
for a hands-on Microsoft Systems Administrator to maintain and modernize enterprise infrastructure. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about system reliability, uptime, and modernization.

What you will be doing:

  • Administering, maintaining, and optimizing Microsoft Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)
  • Managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies to ensure secure, reliable operations
  • Supporting server virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware) and Microsoft Azure environments
  • Performing patch management, performance tuning, and system upgrades
  • Implementing and testing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
  • Administering Exchange and O365 environments
  • Monitoring system health, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring uptime across critical systems
  • Documenting infrastructure configurations, procedures, and network diagrams
  • Collaborating with IT and business teams on infrastructure improvements and modernization projects

What you will need:

  • 5–10 years of experience as a Microsoft Systems Administrator or in a similar role
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
  • Proven experience with virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware) and Microsoft Azure administration
  • Solid background in disaster recovery planning, redundancy, and system performance optimization
  • Proficiency in O365 and Exchange Online management
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with excellent documentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • Relevant certifications a plus (MCSA, MCSE, Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional)
