The Professional Startup Service Technician plays a critical role in the operational efficiency for Sierra Air Conditioning, Inc. by properly commissioning HVAC equipment for both home builders and homeowners. This position accurately diagnoses and repair heating and cooling components during Startup. Also, the technician properly understands and performs all Startup procedures. Help support Warranty team and Startup team by completing all calls. Be on time for work. Start time is 6:30 AM at the shop. Your efficiency and attention to detail will contribute to our ability to deliver high-quality HVAC solutions to our Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Show up to work every day on time and with a great attitude.

Be a team player and help get through all the start-up and warranty calls.

Competent in reading mechanical plans and performing a proper Hot check.

Ability to be trained in commissioning and perform repairs on various types of equipment (i.e., heat pumps, gas furnaces, condensers, and mini splits) heat and cooling issues.

Verify that units have been installed correctly.

Be available on call every 4 weeks. The on-call schedules are one week a month you are required to have and answer your phone 24-7 as needed.

Sierra Air Conditioning requires all tech to provide their own tools. Tool list will be provided.

We do NOT have an end time. I can't tell you what time you will be getting off each day, all calls are run until completed.

Collect your pick ticket and parts from your assigned locker Daily.

Verify all parts match what is listed on the pick ticket.

Continue to 10-7 and 10-8 all stops to ensure office is aware of your location.

Qualifications:

Basic understanding of heating and air conditioning functions.

Knowledge of wiring and reading wiring diagrams.

Able to understand and be trained in various parts for HVAC and their function in the heating and cooling system.

Reading and understanding of a set of mechanical plans.

Must be able to take notes and pictures of all issues and communicate to the office.

Knowing how to use email and Service Titan.

Properly operate and drive all company vehicles.

Team Player with all techs.

Must be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.

Effective communication with co-workers.

Experience:

Experience 1-3 years of experience in HVAC Startup installations.

Must have a Universal EPA 608 is REQUIRED.

OSHA 10 construction safety is REQUIRED.

Valid Nevada driver's license/ have and maintain a clean driving record.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and Background.

Must complete company driver's course.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Starts at $16.00 per hour during Training.

Piece-Rate Applies after completion of Training Program.
